Breeding Grounds
Eat Your Vegetables!
Tabitha Bastien is a multi-talented actress and Pacific Northwest native. You may recognize her from the award-winning series “STILL”. Here you see her getting director feedback at the “Breeding Grounds” rehearsal. Tabitha knows the best vegan restaurants in Seattle, so be sure to ask for a recommendation if you get the chance!

Rehearsal
I was able to wrangle an invite to a recent rehearsal and was impressed by the energy the cast brings to the table. It’s amazing that such a professional team can be pulled together in such an informal, low key way. Kudos to the Seattle Filmmakers’ Collective – this is going to be good!

Have You Seen This Man?
This is Jeff. He is one of the talented individuals behind the latest Seattle Filmmakers’ production “Breeding Grounds”. If you see him, ask him about transmedia storytelling, one of his many interests.

Makin’ props
We’ve been busy making props for the production. It’s always a balancing act of having enough realism to be believable on screen, but cheap to make. All the officials of the Eastern Reach wear a patch with the logo of the camp. With these logos we wanted a look of an embroidered patch without the expense of real one. Our patches are a combination of laser printed transparency, a fabric backing and real stitching on the border. Voila! You can get one of these patches for your own by contributing to the film at the $30 level!
Help make a movie from the comfort of your computer
I am delighted to announce the beginning of our fundraising campaign for our production of “Breeding Grounds”. Rehearsals have started and we start shooting in a couple of weeks! We have a story, a talented cast and crew. Now we need collaborators to chip in and purchase the materials, props, costumes and food for the crew! We have some fun rewards you can earn: Of course, there are hats and t-shirts, but how about your own personal Reproductive Services Kit! Bet you don’t have one of those…
